Job Outlook: A Bright Future Awaits!
According to the U.S. Board of Labor Statistics, the demand for pharmacy technicians is on the rise. An aging population and higher rates of chronic diseases, such as diabetes, are driving the need for more prescription medications. Advances in pharmaceutical research are also increasing the use of prescription medications to combat diseases. As pharmacists take on more patient care activities, pharmacy technicians will be essential in performing tasks such as collecting patient information, preparing medications, and verifying the work of other technicians.
