Career Outlook and Description:
Employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 15 percent from 2023 to 2033, much faster than the average for all occupations.

About 119,800 openings for medical assistants are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Many of those openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different occupations or exit the labor force, such as to retire.

Medical Administrative Assistants also referred to as Health Unit Coordinators or Medical Secretaries. earned a median salary of $46,772 in January 2023, according to PayScale.com.
This course will prepare students to perform routine administrative duties in medical offices and clinics. Students will be instructed on proper telephone etiquette and procedures, how to greet patients and families, update and file patient medical records, fill out insurance forms and handle correspondence. Other topics will include scheduling appointments and arranging hospital admissions and laboratory services. Various office equipment will be covered. This course will cover an extensive list of common terminology used in the typical medical office. After successful completion of the course, each student will receive a certificate of completion from MHA and will be provided with a test schedule to take the certification exam given by the National Health Career Association (NHA).

Admission Requirements:
16 years of age or older (parental consent needed if under 18 years of age).
High school diploma or equivalent
English Fluency (verbal and written)
Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and to reach overhead

You may apply on their website at squareinstallments.com/apply/mham and “AfterPay” – which will allow you to break up payments into 4-bi-weekly installments.

📝 Refund Policy
Mi Healthcare Academy values transparency and fairness in all financial matters. Because program spaces, materials, and clinical placements are reserved upon enrollment, the following refund policy applies to all students.
Full Refund (Minus $99 Administrative Fee)
Students who withdraw or cancel their enrollment prior to the first day of class and within three (3) business days of making their initial deposit or payment are entitled to a full refund minus a $99 non-refundable administrative setup fee.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to registration@mihealthcareacademy.com within the 3-day period following payment.

No Refunds After Three (3) Business Days or the first day of class (whichever occurs first).
After three (3) business days from the initial deposit or payment, all tuition, fees, and deposits become non-refundable, including but not limited to:
Withdrawal or cancellation prior to or after the start of class
Failure to attend or complete the program
Dismissal or termination due to attendance, conduct, or academic performance
This policy applies regardless of attendance, payment method, or scholarship status.

Program Transfers or Deferrals
Students who experience verified extenuating circumstances (such as medical emergencies or death of an immediate family member) may request a one-time transfer to a future program start date, subject to approval and seat availability.
Transfer requests must be made in writing before the scheduled program end date.
Transfer approval is at the discretion of Mi Healthcare Academy and does not constitute a refund.

Refund Method
Approved refunds (for cancellations within three business days) will be processed to the original form of payment within ten (10) business days of receiving the written cancellation request.
